1. Jimmy wrote every part, Lyrics, riffs ect. of 4 of the songs recently written for the Avenged Sevenfold album.
2. Jimmy is a self proclaimed perfectionist.
3. Brian has given Jimmy informal guitar lessons through the years.
4. Larry Jacobson, A7X Manager, says Jimmy looks like an octopus when he plays Almost Easy.
5. Jimmy joined the percussion ensemble at Harbor College in L.A. in the 6th thru the 8th grade.
6. Jimmy began transcribing exceedingly difficult metal tunes including Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera eventually learning Dream Theatre and Rush.
7. Jimmy's parents wanted him to take piano lessons when he was 5 but he resisted them but secretly wanted to play.
8. Jimmy started out at age 10 with a mail ordered drum kit which he calls crap. A year later he got his own kit.
9. Jimmy was raised Catholic.
10. Jimmy lived with Brian for a while and Papa Gates had this to say about him: "Jimmy is eccentric to a nearly dangerous level. I would guess his I.Q. would be in excess of 160. He is possibly one of the most natural musicians I have ever met."
11. Jimmy’s drum tech is Jason Berry.
12. Jimmy has been chosen the second best drummer on Drum magazine’s 2008 list.
13. Jimmy has lived in many homes and at one time even lived in a laundry mat that he worked at.
14. Jimmy was arrested in the UK & more then once!
15. Jimmy had to spend a couple nights in jail while under arrested in UK, because the band thought it was a joke.
16. Jimmy favorite band is Slayer
17. Jimmy is the lead singer for the band Pinkly Smooth
18. Jimmy along with former A7X bassist Justin Sane was in a band called Suburban Legends with Rev being on the drums for the band before either were involved with Pinkly Smooth or A7X
19. Jimmy uses Zildjian Cymbals, Pro Mark drumsticks and Exans Drum Heads
20. Jimmy drum kit is from Drum Workshop Drums
21. Jimmy's an “alcoholic”
22. Jimmy likes Hookers ( he's a dirrty dirrty boy but we like him that way *wink* )
23. Jimmy thought he was too good to be in Matt’s original Band "Successful Failure", not A7X.
24. Jimmy was kicked off of the basketball team at Huntington Beach High School.
25. Jimmy has known Johnny the longest because he was friends with Johnny’s' Older brother.
26. Jimmy did the voice of Johnny in the outtakes on the DVD
27. Jimmy also did the voice of Johnny in the animated short on the A7x MVI 
28. Jimmy was going to do a clothing line with Cam Rackam but it fell through =[
29. Jimmy can also play bass guitar, guitar & piano
30. Jimmy stands at 6'2.5 and has blue eyes.
31. Despite Jimmy revealing his arachnophobia he allowed spiders to walk on his face for the "Afterlife" video. He said he did it for the fans.
32. Jimmy has stated that he owns 6 cars. Almost one for every day of the week.
33. Jimmy wrote the lyrics for Almost Easy, Afterlife and A Little Peice of Heaven. He also came up with the concept for Brompton Cocktail.
34. Jimmy does vocals on Critical Acclaim which is also on the self titled album 
35. Jimmy brought the fly swatter he used in the Bat Country Video from home.
36. Jimmy had lasix surgery just prior to his death.
